May Flowers

Dearly beloved,
April did its job, we had plenty of rain but in some areas some would say too much. Now after 16 months in office Obama has blossomed into a bloomin Socialist. Many Americans cannot understand how our U. S. Congress got so screwed up in such a short time. See what happens when you don’t pay attention to the workings in government at any level. Now we have the Tea Party movement because of basic outrage and incompetence in our government. (Here is a clue) Our 535 members in Congress keep getting very low grades for their performance on the job. A short answer would be, don’t expect greatness from ordinary people and Congress is full of ordinary people. OK back to #13, pay all members of Congress “Superstar” wages to attract better qualified people starting at $100,000 per month. That may sound excessive to many Americans who only make 30 to 40 thousand per year. Currently all members of Congress make $169,300 per year. Compare that to athletic superstars and other super Americans, then we have a discrepancy. Recently in USA Today sports Ryan Howard just signed a 5 year $125,000,000 contract with The Philadelphia Phillies. Time to get a grip… 25 million a year will give you $68,439.15 per day, so in 3 days he makes more than a member of Congress does in a year and just in 2 days he has paid up his Social Security. You know the old saying, you get what you pay for. Baseball is a summer job so Ryan Howard is off for the winter. How about Network news anchors? They make millions per year for reading the news about members of Congress who create the news. The point is that basically in America your status and importance is usually reflected by your income. Pvt. South thinks members of Congress are paid minimum wage and that accounts for some of the duds who make or create poor legislation.
Looking back we the people have never been very serious about government pay at any level and it certainly shows around the country. The same can be said about crime, our justice system, homeland security, immigration, education, energy use and abuse. OK, there is one thing we have always been serious about. SPORTS! And it shows.
Illegal immigration has gotten so bad out West that Arizona recently passed a tough immigration law targeting illegal’s and our current Commander in Chief is not happy and that goes double for the ACLU. OK, back to #13. Eliminating free sanctuary to all illegal’s in all U. S. cities to help Homeland Security. You can use California as exhibit A for a State out of control and overrun by illegal’s. Obama would also like amnesty and full Citizenship to create more Democratic voters in the future. Some would call that hope and change. During the campaign Obama talked about helping the middle class but his main concern and support has always been the underclass. Time to get a grip… Would the Democratic Party have to re-invent itself if a citizen in the future had to be 21 years of age, show a photo ID, not be a convicted felon, or have been on any kind of welfare for the past 12 months to be eligible to vote? That’s called being part of the solution instead of part of the problem. OK, back to #8. Establish a sound national ID system including photo, fingerprint and blood type. Dearly beloved, if we the people had a National ID system the current census that has become an expensive joke would no longer be needed because our government would have continuous access to real names and numbers to work with in the future. You have heard this before, life is a game of numbers and money is used to keep score. Keeping your powder dry would be a lot easier and I am sure the ACLU would understand…….Pvt. South
