Dearly beloved, We the people are now into March and looking for Spring flowers while pondering the big question, will Obama deliver his healthcare boondoggle by Easter? For it to fail the Tea Party folks will have to hang in there and keep the drive alive. Sen. Jim Bunning (R) Ky. was severely critisized by the Democrats for insisting the Senate find a way to extend benifits without adding to the huge federal budjet deficit. He was not opposed to helping layed off workers, Bunning wanted to tap unused stimulus funds instead of borrowwing more money that we the people do not have. (Just ask China!) After 13 unlucky months many Americans who voted for "Hope and Change" are basically disgusted and want to blame someone besides themselves. How about the liberal press and news media who still support our rookie President and Secretary of State. Very early on the boys in the "Backroom" basically decided who would be on the Republican and Democratic ticket and not who raised the most money. Bill Clinton would still be in Arkansas because he would not have made the cut. His bimbo reputation was well established and his nickname of "Slick Willy" was not new in the local press. Obama moved up from Community Orginizer quickly with plenty of help from Acorn. This slick talking Harvard graduate then became a State Senator in the Illinois Legislature and then to Washington D.C. as a U.S. Senator, then to The White house. Looking back can you imagine a white rookie Senator with no expierience wanting to run for President? That sucker would have been laughed off the Senate floor with his tail between his legs. Obama might have been just testing the political waters to see how far he would go but when many Democrats, including Ted Kennedy supported Obama early the press and news media saw thier chance to dump Bill and Hillary and move on. If the press and news media did thier job as they had been doing early on this coming November election would not be that important, but now it is probably the most important election in our history! Makes you wonder what the Founding Fathers would think.
One final sad note, our U.S. Navy plans to end a ban on women aboard subs. Army Chief of Staff Gen. George Casey recently told Congress that he supports a reconsideration of Women's combat roles. Dearly beloved, unfortunately many high ranking officers are supporting this double dumb idea to preserve thier own military careers. Our current Commander in Chief also supports "openly gay" service men and women in the military. Apparently "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" isn't good enough. Dearly beloved, now you must go back to December 29, 2008 and give #9 some serious thought. "If the military draft is reinstated for 18 year old men should women be included?"
Will November ever get here so we thee people will have a chance to keep our powder dry...... Pvt. South
